Somehow, all of his kukuris arrived too, although scattered around the island, and he had to round them all up one by one. He misses his friends back home, but he was able to meet up with his dear friend, Ilyse, who miraculously arrived here too. He succeeded, and on more than one occasion, uses his wisdom and knowledge in hunting to track down more than just prey, for example sometimes a runaway kukuri or suspect person.[break][break] SUMMONED A FOUR-STAR ARCHER CLASSWhile he isn't exactly a record breaker, his archery skills doubtlessly deserve recognition. He is known to be quite reliable in his aim, even in combat as a support unit who can snipe enemies from an impressive distance. He has never accidentally shot an ally while taking out foes right over them. I WILL NOT FORGETAluinn comes from what most folks might describe as the famed "medieval" setting, when the world wasn't settled enough for every piece of land to be filled with paved roads, and where usually forests and plains filled the blank areas between each unique little town. Most of the country and its modest residents were under the government of the kingdom placed at the capital and its king. But Aluinn, being a regular country boy, could hardly say he knew anything about the country's king or even the bigger cities. At the most, he expected to live out a humble life, hunting to earn a living, maybe find a nice village maiden if he was lucky, settle down, have a family, all that standard shtuff. But life is never so simple.[break][break] Whenever the market value for meat shifted or prey became scarce in a certain area, Aluinn would travel on to the next area, taking advantage of a nomadic lifestyle as a hunter, feeling unbound by any ties to any person or place. But one day on his first hunt in a new area, he happened to compete with and lose to a peculiar red fox in taking down some prey, and he came home almost empty-handed. It was this evening that he first met the small local village's priestess known as Shizuka. Well, he didn't exactly meet her, only saw her and noted with interest that unlike any other human being, she had long fox-like ears and a fluffy tail as if she were a hybridization of human and animal.[break][break] Then that evening, he happened to bear witness to the sight of her again, this time battling in secret against demonic spirits out in the woods right next to the village's church. When she had exhausted all her strength, having already taken some serious injuries, he saw her transform into the red fox who had competed with him for prey earlier that day, and attempted to aid her in her fight against the demons when her adversaries became too much even for her powers. That was the start of their slow and cautious friendship which developed into a bond of deep trust. He couldn't deny that earlier on, he had a bit of a crush on her, but he knew she only saw him as a friend and had no interest in romance, so it eventually passed. Still, Aluinn decided to stay in this village for a while as he enjoyed his friendship with her.[break][break] Some time later while hunting a boar, Aluinn met his first kukuri, the wild-hearted rook known as Ziegfre. And through a sudden twist of fate, he found himself entering the life of a kukuri handler. After Ziegfre became his first tamed furry raptor companion, he ended up adopting three kukuri pups, Jakob, Rena and Ayumi, and he raised and trained them. Aluinn at this point settled down with no knowing when or why he would travel again, the kukuris becoming a focus of his interests when he wasn't hunting. Aluinn, using his trained kukuri to earn him some extra cash as escorts and sheep herding, saved up to buy his own small barn in which to raise his kukuri once his house was no longer suitable to contain the current ones. Soon after, he got Lazward, and then a lone miniature rascal kukuri named Kino wandered into his life and decided to make Aluinn's stables its home. There were no breaks on this kuku train.[break][break] Around this time, Aluinn was returning with a few of his kukuris from a completed escort mission when he first met Ilyse. She crossed his path mounted upon a giant armored viridian kukuri, and asked for his help in searching for a place to go, and hide, since she was new to these parts of the country. Being the generous soul he was, Aluinn accepted and escorted her back to his place for shelter while avoiding the government's search parties as best they could. He learned that she was a runaway princess, the king's daughter herself, and the kingdom's government was in a state of tyranny. This was entirely new information to Aluinn, and he found himself suddenly at the center of it when he decided to aid the pretty warrior princess in her quest to gather allies and provisions before starting a rebellion against her father. Aluinn never considered himself a very ambitious person, yet he was content to support Ilyse as best he could, being her first non-kukuri ally and friend since running away and knowing that ultimately, Ilyse's goal was to overthrow the entire country's king, somehow.[break][break] When Aluinn introduced Ilyse to Shizuka, the two females hit it off almost instantly, coincidentally seeming to have similar world views about the state of the world's morality. Shizuka immediately supported Ilyse's goals, understanding the seriousness of their ambitions to fight against the government and all its tyranny, and she taught Ilyse how to wield a sword since the princess was restricted to only books her whole life until now. In time, Ilyse did manage to begin traveling about and raising a small army of soldiers who had felt the corruption of the ruling kingdom, and even began fighting against a few of the king's smaller armies carelessly sent to "eliminate the little pests of an army," not knowing that their general was the king's own daughter, but assuming it was just another petty little rebellion of which were common annoyances lately. Aluinn often participated in those battles just to watch Ilyse's back for her and ensure her safety by sniping any foes who managed to sneak up on her.[break][break] In between bouts of combat, Aluinn's life at home continued to flourish with new kukuris at every new chapter. He adopted the twin sibling kukuris, Shigeo and Ritsu as pups, then not long after adopted Gakuppo as a young kukuri from the wild when he was separated from his wild kukuri loaf and stayed in Aluinn's care for a while. Aluinn was given a kukuri egg to hatch from the kukuri market as an "extra" since it was abandoned by its wild parents, and it hatched into a dove he named Cherche. Then somehow, two more kukuris were dumped on him by their handlers which didn't want them anymore, and Aluinn found himself in possession of the pompous egotistic rook, Zero, and the obese but lovable, food-obsessed polar bear kukuri, Yeti. And before he knew it, Aluinn was sold his first prairie kukuri, Ame. Training or simply taking care of these kukuris took up nearly all of his daily schedule at first, but soon he had a good rhythm going where the veterans would help keep the newer ones in check, and they could often be left alone as long as they had some land to run around on. That was, until without warning or explanation, Aluinn found himself here.[break][break] What he first knew was that he was very, very far from home, and what he knew next was that there was no way to get back home, at least to anyone else's knowledge. He wasn't alone. There were other residents on this island who had found themselves here in a similar manner. It did little to reassure him, though, because the strangest factor of all was that the powerful force which caused this twist of space and time seemed to have no malice or ambition for some great destiny as far as anyone knew. Aluinn never considered himself a great philosopher or anything, but he recognized the uneasy feeling of not knowing when something else would happen, just as easily as it already had, and when they would learn why all this had happened. Was this a part of God's plan? If so, was it not important enough to be written out in the holy Bible? Shizuka wasn't here, so he couldn't consult his priestess friend on religious matters. This sort of event certainly mades one consider his or her religion when trying to figure out the fundamentals of this world.[break][break] Although he didn't have Shizuka, Aluinn soon discovered that Ilyse had been teleported away to this island in the exact same way, and her kukuri, Firnen, had come along too. Strangely, all of Aluinn's kukuris had been brought to this island as well, though they were scattered across every acre, and he had to round up each and every one of them. Settling into a life on the island, finding a means of surviving and all, was quite easy. There was a source of food, shelter and a bed to sleep on for everyone, and the place was open to people of almost all walks of life who excelled in a variety of jobs, including his. But the more he seemed to adjust to his life, the more Aluinn wondered, even dreaded, when they all would either find out why they were here or forget their past life and simply accept this new life.[break][break] WE'VE NO CHOICE BUT TO KEEP ON GOINGHe won't give up, but Aluinn has always been an adaptable, capable person when it comes to survival and depending on oneself to make a living. There is less available hunting to do, but his mini army of talented fuzzy raptors allows him to accept a large variety of part-time style jobs. Thankfully, the other residents are about as tolerant of his beast companions as they are of every other strange new face on this island. That is, they have no choice but to just accept it because they all know anything is possible. On more than one occasion, Aluinn has had to dissuade any rumors that his kukuri are a new species of Pokémon or Digimon, and he is also learning from other residents what these magical "Pokémon" are. [break][break] Aluinn tends to be an amiable person who gets along fairly well with others, and is willing to help out when he can. He can sometimes get a little self-conscious however, and is oftentimes flustered at how others react to him. Aluinn doesn't know how to deal with the fact that other people oftentimes mistake him for a girl, but he knows even less of how to act more masculine within this modern day culture in order to avoid those rumors or first impressions. To be fair, in his era, he looks and dresses plenty manly-like, except for his girlish face perhaps.[break][break] Aluinn is known for wearing a faded forest-green tunic over black leggings and black long-sleeved shirt, fingerless gloves, archery arm guards and tall belt-adorned boots, and sports a grizzly bear pelt around his waist. His bow is cheaply made, but he utilizes it well (and is used to buying new ones when the old bow breaks). Aluinn's most noticeable traits are his long, pale, flaxen-blonde hair tied in a ponytail, his thick long bangs, his honey gold eyes, and his warm, friendly expression. Lately, he is often seen abandoning the long-sleeved black shirt underneath his green tunic to fight the warm, beach weather alongside the other lesser dressed island residents, and doesn't wear his gloves or hunting gear as much since there is little hunting to be done.[break][break] [attr="class","rcappleft7"]CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY [/PTab={background-color:transparent;width:478px;height:612px;padding:0px!important;margin:-23px -3px -3px -3px;}] [/PTabbedContent={width:478px;background-color:transparent;height:612px;padding:0px!important;border:0px!important;margin-left:0px;margin-top:0px;text-align:justify;color:#494949;font-size:10px;}] | [attr="class","rcappright"] [attr="class","rcappright21"] [attr="class","rcappright2"] [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-chatbubble-working"] Alu, Aru-kun [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-leaf"] Male [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-cube"] He/him [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-android-calendar"] 18 [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-android-favorite"] straight [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-briefcase"] archer, kukuri handler [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-android-pin"] mortal human [attr="class","rcapplist"][attr="class","ion-android-home"] original [attr="class","rcapprightld"]POSITIVES [attr="class","rcapprightld2"] friendly helpful kind caring self-sufficient intelligent easy-going patient [attr="class","rcapprightld"]NEGATIVES [attr="class","rcapprightld2"] socially awkward anxious pushover too teaseable naïve somewhat shallow a bit greedy |
